Park Overview
Ainos National Woodland Park, established in 1962, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and the majestic Mount Ainos, which rises as the park's centerpiece. Spanning approximately 3,000 hectares, the park is a haven for the unique Kefalonian fir tree (Abies cephalonica), which blankets the mountain slopes in a lush, green mantle.

Visitors to the park can explore a variety of trails that meander through the dense fir forests, offering opportunities to encounter endemic wildlife, including the wild horses of Ainos. The park's elevation provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding sea and landscape. Ainos National Woodland Park serves as a vital refuge for flora and fauna and a serene retreat for nature lovers and hikers.
